One concept, or perhaps better described as an aspect of reality, is that the external does not exist. What we witness is an illusion. Our experience of the external is actually happening within us. This has always been a difficult concept to understand or even consider how that could be the case. We continually perceive what is before us. We see ourselves existing within an environment we call earth.
The answer may be to consider or speculate on the nature of consciousness. All is Consciousness. We exist as beings of Consciousness. I accept that as the fundamental nature of all that IS. But there is a paradox within Consciousness. In one sense, we are individual expressions of Consciousness. Source manifesting itself as a unique being. The “I Am” a conscious presence of the One.
And yet, if all that IS manifests as an expression of the One, the One by definition can only be one. Source, as that oneness, must exists both as the individual, and as the Unity that IS. So from our perspective, we must exist both as an individual and as the infinite.
What we are left with, grasping with our limited minds as we do, is that even though we perceive ourselves somehow as separate, which cannot be the case, in the ultimate sense the One cannot be divided. The implication of that statement is that we do experience creation, our reality, “within” us. It may appear to be on the outside, somehow. But it exists within the oneness of Consciousness, the What and not the who we are. Each one of us is the individualized manifestation point of existence in this dimension, in creation, and in the reality that we “think” we perceive externally.
We are referred to, see ourselves as creator beings. And for much of my existence I have taken that expression to be a definition of a being who can manifest form – physical or conceptual – into the outer world. I use my mind, I make, we make, and contribute on an external level.
But if we move beyond this narrow perception of what a creator is, and perceive from the vantage point of our true nature, then as aspects of Consciousness, we truly must share in the ongoing creation of All that IS, but on a vastly larger scale than what we create merely in the outer world.
“Resources” follow us. We are able to draw more upon the infinite potential that is Consciousness. We access “higher” dimensions. We recognize Beings who are always ready to guide us, to whisper in our ears. Consciousness becomes a tangible partner in creation, in our expression of the outer world. Then the inner world blossoms into the outer world we perceive before us. Harmony.
